BURNSIDE : INSIDE

Today we visit the newly expanded Burnside Village Shopping Centre. There are plenty of car parks, and we make the VP Coffee Shop our meeting place.

Some have coffee straight away, others go off exploring and return for coffee later on. There is much to explore! We pass through the older area with its attractive fountains.

Then to the new bright atrium with its large featured gum tree.

We then make our way individually to the Payneham Tavern (319 Payneham Road) for a delicious midday meal. There is ample parking here.

One might think that this outing would be rather dull, but it was, in fact, very successful. Many of the group had not been to the Village before, and certainly not since its recent expansion. The outing was enhanced by a quiz that we handed out (with prizes awarded after lunch).
