GLENELG – THERE AND BACK

We take the bus to a tram stop near Holy Trinity Church on North Terrace.

The group boards the tram for Glenelg here (small fare), and the bus is driven to the carpark at the Watermark Hotel near the end of Anzac Highway, Glenelg.

The driver meets the group as they leave the tram and explore the historic display at the Glenelg Town Hall, adjacent to the terminal stop.

We now take a leisurely walk north along the waterfront and around the marina to the Patawalonga lake with the old sailing ship The Buffalo.

Across the street east from The Buffalo we find The Watermark hotel and restaurant. This eating place provides a remarkable buffet meal at a reasonable price.

Leaving the restauarnt after having eaten far too much(!), we board the bus and drive back up Anzac Highway, stopping at the Seaview Aquarium Centre (237 Anzac Highway, Plympton).

This is a retail outlet, but the owner is happy for groups to visit, and the premises are large enough to cope well. The many marine and tropical displays are quite striking.

Another enjoyable outing!
