The Flinders Street Baptist Church, Adelaide is one of the most famous religious structures of the city. This ancient church with its grand architecture is one of the heritage sites of Adelaide. It was built in the year 1861 after a group of Christians with Rev Silas Meade as a driving force, decided to set up a Baptist church exclusively for the city. In fact, the foundation stone of the church was laid down in that year, and after eighteen months, the building was fully constructed. The church is open from Mondays to Fridays, as well as Sundays. The Flinders Street Baptist Church, Adelaide is one of the finest churches of the city.
