BAPTIST CHURCH
142 – 146 Tynte Street

The long history of this church is indicated by its blue plaque and its foundation stones: the 1850 stone in the front porch referring to an early chapel in LeFevre Terrace, and another stone relating to a later addition to the existing building. The old building has an ecclesiastical looking side wall, and there are some original stables at the back. Inside, the focus is the large pipe organ. Just east of the church is the old manse, now a restaurant with an attractive entry.
