Carclew House is a stately mansion with a distinctive round tower. Inside there is a grand staircase with elaborately carved stair posts. The front entrance is paved with an attractive tiled verandah, laid in a pattern characteristic of the period. Also by the gate is a plaque commemorating the McDouall Stuart expedition. |
