The Kermode Street Chapel built in 1883 has a fascinating history. Now a private residence, it has the name embossed on the façade. The gable features a fine iron ornament. The history of this chapel is entwined with that of the adjacent Ebenezer Chapel, now tucked away behind high fences, but just visible from Brougham Court. Those early Baptists were a quarrelsome lot! |
