LIGHT’S VISION
Pennington Terrace, Montefiore Hill

This page is a little different from the others here, but it is certainly part of Adelaide’s history. Colonel William Light, who designed the city of Adelaide, is shown pointing out over the central square mile from his vantage point on Montefiore Hill. A brass plate acknowledges Light and his work. In fact, by 2015, the view from here is much restricted by the superstructure of the Adelaide Oval!
