This impressive house was constructed in 1889 – 1890 for the financier and developer Arthur Waterhouse. Everything about it speaks of class and expense! – the entry, the gables, with their ornamentation and structure, the brickwork around the windows. The side of the house faces Margaret Street – presumably the street name comes from the house? Behind the house is a smart coach house with a loft door. |
