32. THE SAVINGS BANK OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA
93 Lipson Street

SavingsBankSA

This Port Adelaide branch of the Savings Bank of SA was opened in 1906. It is an interesting brick building with hooded arched windows on the ground floor.

In 1923 the Ex-Navalmen’s Association of South Australia was formed in Queenstown. In 1940 the SA Section relocated to the old State Bank building in Lipson St, Port Adelaide. A plaque commemorates this.
