Buff’s Black Diamond Hotel was called the Family Hotel in 1876. From 1878 to 1884 it was the Black Diamond. From 1884 until recently it was the New Central Hotel. These days it is known as Buff’s Black Diamond Hotel, and the intersection is often called the Black Diamond Corner. In 2012 it was not trading as a hotel.
