Stonehenge is an enigmatic circular stone structure on the Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire, England. Many questions have been asked as to why it was built, and how the stones were put in place. I found the structure to be smaller than I expected, but I might have felt differently if I had had to move the stones! Stonehenge has suffered the ravages of time, but there is evidence that the stones were originally placed in perpendicular positions. How was this done? We believe that the builders used the 345 right-angled triangle known to Pythagoras and the ancient Egyptians.
