INTRODUCTION
In 2009 my wife and I spent a week on Norfolk Island. This is a photographic account of where we went and what we saw.

For us, as seniors, this was a highly successful and enjoyable holiday. However, I should explain that our idea for this holiday was to find a central, comfortable home base, hire a car, and explore every road and scenic feature on the island. Other people will have a different approach: taking the many available tours, meals, and entertainments provided. If you are one of these people planning a visit, you will want to supplement your viewing of this site with other material.

We felt that a week was just about the right length of time to spend on Norfolk. A holiday here will particularly suit young families who enjoy exploring, and also older people who will appreciate the quiet lifestyle of the island. There is lovely scenery, historic ruins, horses and cows, and many subtropical flowers and shrubs.

You are welcome to use any of my photos which appear here, but an acknowledgment and link to this site would be appreciated.

I hope you find this record of our trip interesting and helpful. I would be glad to share holiday experiences!
