CARLISLE CATHEDRAL
CHURCH OF ENGLAND CUMBRIA, ENGLAND
There is an attractive little rose window above the Southern entry door into the Cathedral. At centre is the Risen and Glorified Christ. Then there are six surrounding angels, each bearing a symbol of one of the six Days of Creation described in Genesis. We mention that there is also a ‘Blue Rose Window’ which occurs as part of the Tait Memorial Window in the North transept, but we have chosen not to include such ‘part windows’ here.
