WORCESTER CATHEDRAL
CHURCH OF ENGLAND WORCESTER, WORCESTERSHIRE, ENGLAND
This rose occurs at the top of the West window. It is by Hardman Studios 1874, designed by John Hardman Powell. The subject of the window is the Creation, and the rose shows God the Father surrounded by worshipping angels. The window is a sumptuous work, one of the most richly detailed windows of the Victorian period, and perhaps the finest single achievement of John Hardman Studios’ extensive output.
