Death : SA Biograph Dir.
Lived Springton, South Rhine, Bruce, Quorn. Alf spent some time at the Kalgoorlie goldfields. He enlisted as a private in the 27th Batallion of the AIF in WWI accompanied by Angus ATKINSON, and later married Angus's mother. Returning from the war he purchaed Carters Block out on the Willochra Plains. The venture failed and they returned to Quorn. Life out on the plains was very difficult. Strong winds blew dust right through their primitive dwelling, and the children used to sit under the table, covered by a sheet, to eat their food. Alfred is buried in the War Veterans' section at West Tce Cemetery.
