Charles never married, he lived at Overlee for many years and is shown in the 1841 Census as Ind, the 1851 and 1861 Census he is recorded as Uncle. He died of General Debility at 83, witnessed by his nephew Arthur, his occupation as farm servant. Death registered on Jan 10 1863. He lived longer than many of the other Watsons and must have seen many children born, weddings, and changes to the size of the farm .
