Park the car at the bottom of Haven Rd.  Walk up the Quarry road (with care) to the Horsnell Gully Park entry, follow up the little entry road, and walk straight on past the car park to the Main Valley track.

The track begins pleasantly enough, but there is a warning of things to come!

Uneven stony track follows up the creek, coming eventually to what would be a grand waterfall in season: some 15 metres of steep rocky ledges which the track negotiates.

Beyond this the climb is very steep and scrabbly.

At the top, the track joins the Heysen Trail briefly before leaving the Park ...

... and bearing right we then come to Coach Rd.  Ignore the left pointing sign ‘To Coach Rd’ (this indicates the driveable eastern end of Coach Rd) and turn right, following back to Skye.

This is a view looking west from the Coach Rd fire track to Skye.

Return finally down Haven Rd.  I think this walk would be difficult in the reverse direction.
