B11. QUEEN ANNE’S LACE The plant known as Queen Anne’s lace (daucus carota) is a remarkable example of a branching fractal. Each of the stems of the central cluster bears a smaller replica which in turn shows signs of a similar generation on a smaller scale. Of course the self similarity only continues for a few iterations.
