CALEDONIAN HOTEL
219 O'Connell Street

The Caledonian Inn was licensed in 1869, and was renamed the Caledonian Hotel in 1882. Today, one would have to say that the giant hoarding atop the hotel detracts from its external appearance. However, the old gable with the name of the hotel is still visible. The present logo appears to be a Welsh gryphon, although I would have expected the name to have Scottish origins.
