PRIMITIVE METHODIST
Wellington Square, corner Tynte Street

The Primitive Methodists erected this building in 1881 – 1882, expanding the earlier chapel of the 1850s facing Tynte Street. The old chapel is still intact, and in its gable has a ‘Reuleaux triangle’ window. Interestingly, it was Samuel Way who laid the foundation stone in 1881.
