One of the more interesting buildings in Port Adelaide is the Port Dock Brewery Hotel, built ca 1882. From the south we come first to the Brewery with its distinctive tower and weather vane. The Hotel shows its face to the north. The hotel has an interesting history, and the interior has an historical theme. There are old photographs of the shipping, and a wonderful display cabinet of model sailing ships. The proprietor also has an interest in his hotel’s past. and might tell you about the resident ghost! |
