29. SOCCER BALL, OR TRUNCATED ICOSAHEADRON!

A semiregular polyhedron is a polyhedron bounded by two or more sets of congrunet regular polygons which meet in a like way about each common vertex. It is known that there are 13 different types of semiregular polyhedra. One of these is the truncated icosahedron, a solid which is beautifully illustrated by the standard soccer ball. Of course here thefaces are slightly rounded out, but the arrangement of the hexagonal and pentagonal faces is clearly shown. How many faces of each type are there? From where does this polyhedron get its name?
