Birth, Marriage : GOBELL Family History.
Frances came to Australia when she was 11 years old from Kent, England, with her father George, aged 32, labourer, her stepmother Elizabeth, 23, and sister Jane aged 1, aboard the sailing ship Buckinghamshire. They arrived at Port Adelaide on 21 Mar 1839. George Williss leased 154 acres of farming land near Rapid Bay in 1853. In 1860 he bought this land; it is still owned by descenedents of the Williss family.
Married at Holy Trinity, Adelaide.
Frances lived the last years of her life with her daughter Jane and Charles CANT at Hamley Bridge. [GOBELL Family History]
