Before marrying William SEERS, widow Mary Ann had five children: Jane, Polly, Rosie, John (+ a son). From her marriage with William there was one daughter.

Doris SALISBURY has a large family Bible. On the inside leaf is written "Mary Ann Sears. The gift of her affectionate daughter Ada Scott, June 20th 1885" (actually step-daughter).

Jane never married, and Polly went to India. Mary Ann looked after Polly's son, as it was considered inadvisable to take the boy to such a hot climate.
