23. THE ANCHORAGE

The Anchorage was built in Queen Anne style as a residence in 1910, and extended in 1912. It was then called Warringa, and advertised as an exclusive guest house with conveniences on both floors, and with accommodation for sixty guests.

Another wing was added in 1952 in modern style, and it still operates as a guest house and restaurant.
