Mary was the youngest Child of John Dodgson and Ann Routledge his Wife. Born as before stated at Grahamsonset April the 21st 1803 was Married on June the 4th 1825 at Bewcastle Church by the Reverend John Graham, rector, to William Elliot [U] Yeoman of Baileyhead (the Paternal Estate) and afterwards became owner of Little Baileyhead – Stoneknow and Butterhill – all in the Parish of Bewcastle. The above named William Elliot the husband of Mary Dodgson and Eldest son of John Elliot of Baileyhead or Low Baileyhead and Mary Graham his Wife was Born at Baileyhead parish of Bewcastle on or about July the 18th 1788.
