[1916 Australian Baptist]: For many years Mr Foreman had been senior deacon of the Goodwood Church and was a most regular attendant at all the meetings of the Union. In early life he was Methodist but on a study of the New Testament he decided to follow his Lord in baptism. He applied to the late Rev Silas Meade and was baptized in the Norwood Church by the Rev H.J. Lambert. He became a member of the Flinders St [Baptist] Church ... and was soon found in many soheres of Christian activity. On removing to Goodwood he and his wife decided to join the Church there, where they were both diligent workers until failing health prevented them. ... He was always on the lookout for new arrivals ... and went out of his way to welcome strangers. His winning ways endeared him to all ages in the congregation. ... He was to a great extent responsible for starting the Parkside Church. ...
